WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Randall Walton

What is life all about, anyway?  Why are we here?  Why were we born?  What will be the outcome of it all?

These questions are constantly being asked, but seldom are any answers being given. Still, in an enlightened age such as ours, there must be some source available which is able to supply a reasonable explanation for mankind’s presence on this revolving ball.

Fortunately, there is a source in existence, but it isn’t a new idea or theory. It is found in the Holy Bible and is as old as mankind himself. The Living God created the earth and humanity for a specific purpose!! God is using the earth and the human condition as a means of producing a Divine Family --- a community of people having the same traits of character and personality as Himself.

God has a definite plan of action for the production of this Divine Nature in His creation. It is known as Life, with a capital “L”.

It begins when a person is Born Again, or is converted; when Jesus Christ comes into his life. And this begins with what the Bible calls repentance. Repentance is the result of a person’s admitting his own inability, failure, and utter helplessness, then reaching out for help from God. And it includes turning from the former way of life and inviting Jesus Christ to come into the heart.

When a person takes this first step, Jesus is there to take it with him, and thus begins a new Life---a Life of development, growth, and fulfillment toward maturity in the Family of the Living God.

Wouldn’t you like to be a member of God’s family? You can be!! Jesus said, “I stand at the door, and  knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”  (Revelation 3:20)

Admit to yourself your need of help, that you are a failure, and that you can’t make it alone. (Honest confession is good for the soul.)

Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart. (He will!)

Then follow Him by doing what He has said to do. This will alter your lifestyle. (Read His words in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.)

You will notice some revolutionary changes in your life as the traits of Jesus’ nature are ‘passed along’ to you. And when God gathers His family together, you’ll be there!!!

And This Is What It’s All About!!!
